Gibbon 已经开始加入 Compiz 0.6.0

Compiz 已经更新到 0.6.0 版，这是自 0.4.0 版本以来第三个稳定版本，无可置疑这个月发布的 Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) 将在正式版中集成这个版本。

今天 Gutsy Gibbon 官方源又有一大堆更新，最主要的就是把 Compiz 更新到 0.6.0 版本，这里（WHAT’S NEW SINCE 0.4.0）列出了这个版本自 0.4.0 以来做出的改进。

    我还一直以为Compiz Fusion是Beryl合并后独立于Compiz的。请教现在他俩到底是什么关系？

    现在 Compiz 将分为2个部分，Compiz-core 和 Compiz-extra，Compiz-extra 部分将与 beryl 项目合并，也就是现在的 ”Compiz Fusion“。应该现在我们所说的 Compiz 多指 Compiz-core，剩下的就是 Compiz Fusion。

    It seems the new version cannot provide good supports for old machine. My thinkpad X31 got full functional compiz effects in feisty but failed to open the desktop effects in gusty… Tried to replaces the ati driver with alternatives , none of them works. Switch back to feisty then….

    BTW: It also looks that feisty cannot support my X31 well compares to edgy… Some problems like fail to open the sound device after resuming, etc… everytime I updated my kernel, some functions went wrong.

    Sorry for my poor English, the LIB computer doesn’t get chinese IME

    重装了 7.10的compiz 不稳定。。。。导致某些程序不正常。。
